HAPPY VESAK DAY!
by far the most memorable vesak day ever! :D mum, sis and i left for eastcoastpark at seven am!
while my brother was just getting off duty i suppose.
and when we reached eastcoast (like 10 minutes later),
mum: "oh no! i forgot to bring my wallet!"
its vesak day and not aprils' fool :(
(she was joking with us)when we reached eastcoast,
there was a gangfight happening!
this is the yellow gang warming up! and the white gang!
and later on there was reinforcements for the white gang, wielding swords!!
other than that, it was relatively quiet :) mac breakfast!
McCafe shifted into the restaurant!
used to be two seperate sites,
if i remember correctly ;x mummy (:
the assembled and unassembled.
went oustide and saw this fountain!
which was very old.
and had dirty water :( acting tourist-y.
"wow, fountain!!"
remarkable no?
with short arms!
we finished breakfast around 8+
and the rental shops were not open until 9+
and i had smartly told my mum not to bother bringing our own bikes.
so we went to walk about :D my sister, the stone.
say hello to the Tan Lines from Hell.
ie, white feet. saw a cute motorcycle ;x
this is no a dog, its a small horse.
there was a buncha very high people.
singing songs
using the dustbin as a drum.
making a racket. remote eastcoast park.
on the breakwater!
and if my camera slipped through my fingers...
one of the coolest bike rental shops i've ever seen.
it was huge!
and the entrance was divided into in/out.
maybe its the norm, but still it was impressive! we cycled up and down and back up.
its like startg on the 10th storey of a hdb block, going up to the top floor, then down to the ground floor, then back to the 10th floor.
yeah, that's how our route went.
passed by the more ulu-fied part of eastcoast.
didnt look like singapore.
"hey dad? we went to china to visit you, but we got lost!" again! :D
the path to nowhere.
casuarina trees.
"coniferous" my mum said. "i like to use words like deciduous and coniferous, makes me sound more intelligent."
it was impossible to cycle and take pictures at the same time :( waiting for the icecream parlour to open! :D
my mummy acting cute with my sunnies.
(dont worry, i told her to pose ;x) my sister looks like an alien.
with my mum's sunnies. "its opening!"
and then my mum said "why we look so glum? must smile!"
so smile we did. anticipating icecream.
OH BLISSFUL JOY!
my mum was quite high.
let us choose two flavours each.
so between us we had
- mocha
- berries
- mango sorbet
- lemonlime sorbet
- mint chocolate
- chocolate
wheeeeeee!
and the place was quite cool. felt so american. 'cos playing all the english songs, heh. then we came home, and found the doggie getting a bath.
AHAHAHAH!
drying up :)
combing fur.
so pampered hor?
the fluffiness coming back.
haha. but anyway,
we stopped by home to pick up some credit cards,
then went back to parkway ;D
winnie the pooh and friends decided to drop by too.
that's nice.
all the way from Hundred Acre Wood too!
and i took this from like the 4th floor or something.
at parkway we went for a little shopping!
didnt get any clothes,
but i got my devil beside you vcd!
kkkyyyyaaaaahhhh~~!!! ;DDDDDDD
they were having the great singapore sale too,
had discounts for one day only
WAKAKAKKAKAKA.
i like to watch these shows,
especially when the actors/actresses are not bad-looking.
i like to see their smile especially.
i think its fascinating that they have such perfect teeth ;D
and the more i look at qingzi,
the more i think vann looks like her.
or she looks like vann (as vann would put it ;x)
went to giant supermart to buy ingredients for lunch!
their freezers are hardcore man.
damn cold la.
a little slice of cod fish is almost $10! D:
felt like i was in the supermarket in China.
its called "Le Gou" (NOT french)
happy shopping, literally. came home and died.
after lunch too, the pig.
and then,
spent the afternoon slacking off
devilbesideyou! :D
the 99% perfect day ended off with having chicken wings for dinner!
(among other things, like uh, rice).
and then my mummy told us she had gone out in the afternoon,
and bought BEN&JERRY'S!
new york superfudge and chunky monkey!
neh heh heh heh.
so you see,
memorable vesak day.
and input was totally more than output ;x
99% perfect because today i didnt get to see my dear boy.
:(
going to school for gp paper tomorrow!
*grumbles
********** missing.
sometimes people see only what they want to see,
they dont see what they dont want to see.
people hear what they want to hear,
they dont hear what they dont want to hear.
and uh, substitute in all the senses la.
can somebody please get devilbesideyou outta my mind.
the last time i was hooked on it was this time, only last year.
(remember, vanessa the qingzi? ;x)
the month of june does call for some weird habits.
and i totally love listing out the june babies, because theyre so many.
prepare to go broke!
3rdjune - guan yu
4thjune - vanessa
7thune - nawei!
8thjune - lionel's brother's girlfriend, aptly named well, june.
10thjune - lionel's brother, leonard.
12thjune - LIONEL! and pearlyn ;x
17thjune - mr.darren sim
19thjune - shannon
21stjune - nataline, khairul
23rdjune - meilan, huiru
and lijun's is on the 25th,27th, or 29th ;x
and 10thjune would be 10thmonth too! ;DDDD
lionel wants his deathnote2,
and i want the devilbesideyouvcd or something,
please and thankyouverymuch?
;D
tomorrow's family day! :D
going eastcoast park with my mummy and sister.
my brother's on guard duty and will only be done around 8am in the morning
and by then i think he's knocked out.
had chem lecture today which went surprisingly well
didnt have that sleepy nuance.
spent an hour in the art room.
the more i see the art room the more i like it
it feels so serene
and the art people are a homely bunch.
art class outing to the zoo? ;D
spent my time sharpening all the colour pencils, ahahhaa!
**********
the need to bitch.
nawei, i miss talking to you!
RIGHT!
sunday was sisters' day out shopping :D yesyes we dont look like sisters,
we get that all the time.
the only similarities we share are having two eyes, a nose, a mouth etcetc,
which most pple probably do anyway.first stop was takashimaya for auntie anne's!
blame my sister and her erratic food cravings.
we were hungry.
we didnt eat brekkie :(
( i have many pretty pictures of my pretty sister (((: )
then we went topshop!
which was our Highlight of the Day
'cos my mum recently befriended her classmate who works at topshop
and has the employees dicount voucher
and she doesnt want it
my mum said "i have two teenage daughters at home."
tadah! - problem solved.
after scrouging the shop for a heck long time,
we didnt buy much
just a pair of sunnies, and two pairs of shorts for my sister to slack around in.
MOVING ON - FOOOOOD!
went pepperlunching :D this is my bored sister.
at pepper lunch.
and the table number. having short arms only allow for SUPER CLOSE-UPS.
this is my sister drinking a drink.
(dont i sound like those children books:
this is a boy.
this is a dog.
boy plays with dog ;DDDD) i told you i have alot of pretty pictures.
in fact, im in two minds whether or not to upload the whole collection :) the remnants of her food which
1) dropped out
2) escaped she's never seen a salt shaker.
i harbour secret fantasies of screwing off the lid/cap of the salt/pepper shakers and then just popping the lid/cap back on.
so when the next person tips the bottle over....
:))))))))))) the Giant Salt Shaker!
we walked about outside for quite a bit.
being the directionless people that we are. i wanted to bring my pedometer, but i forgot :(
such a kodak moment :)
although im too short for her to lean her head on my shoulder.
MUAHAHAHHAHA. then we went tampines mall!
pardon the superfast change of location.
tampines mall has a new outdoor escalator!
so that's what theyve been building the past month or so.
it leads the the third floor, into courts i think. the original java chippp :)
which just about concludes our day.
after that we went to buy dinner which was our ticket to a car ride home
;DDD
oh yes,
throughout the day when we were at mrt stations,
we always saw the advertisement for Shrek 3
and the best part of it is the gingerbread man,
or rather, when his "sh*t" pops out!
ITS DAMN HILARIOUS!!
and ive always thought of this:
sometimes we look at the products we use
(imports! ;b)
like this dress i saw: made 100% in turkey.
who cares if its true,
its damn amazing la,
ive never even been to turkey!
and this dress has!
and we think we're so superior ;D
**********
get the glass is sucha cute game.
milk and healthy hair, pms, lol.
and the characters are super cute too.
looks like The Incredibles but so?
the adachi family.
a family run amok.
and now they face athe greatest predicament-
Life Without Milk.
are you willing to cast aside your everyday morals to...
i cant remember ;D
**********
i cant decide if i like the timetable during school term or during the holidays.
holidays see two/three-hour blocks of tutorials/lectures,
but days are more flexible, can start and end earlier.
which must be quite a headache.
so ive had threehour breaks for the past two days,
dont get me wrong, im not complaining.
time can be put to effective use :)
like hanging around airheaded uncle chins.
but that's kinda effective in a sense too.
attempted to read my maths notes while he was doing his art on the computer or smth
(he typed i think, four lines)
picked up the book on which he was referring to
rene magritte, an artist.
flipped through the book.
sometimes i think very detachedly from where i am.
like i read: "his mother, for reasons unknown, drowned herself in (name of river)"
and im thinking,
his mother is human too,
hmmm.. humans have been around kinda long eh.
theyve existed throughout histories.
cavemen?
theyre humans too.
and when i look at pictures,
like the one mdm. aiysha took of a bustling city,
the expressway and the cars on it,
i wonder,
those pple in the car - do they know their cars are shown to a hall of students halfway round the world?
well of course they dont, but nevermind.
and even locally,
when im on the bus and i pass by say, a pedastrian.
hey mr.pedastrian,
a yjc girl just passed by you!
mr.pedastrian has his own life and the pple in the car have their own lives,
and theyre so many humans and people on this earth!
its quite mind-shattering,
so i dont like to think about it too long ;D
and the other thing i learnt:
teenagers' lives are fascinating - really!
i just cant put a finger to it,
but its really... interesting.
rushed off for a talk during ct period,
and gaaawwwddd was it a bloody waste of time.
**********
i drank some weird soup,
wait i get food poisoning how?! :(
***********
after today's gp lecture,
a sensible teacher finally got around talking to girls on how they should sit.
it irritates the hell out of me when i see girls who dont sit properly.
and mrs.guna has a really funny sense of humour.
both funny haha and funny weird ;x
**********
i think ive become more obstinate as of late.
and the weird thing is i dont seem to mind.
two years ago,
we travelled to pangkor.
one morning we went to eat breakfast,
and we ordered penang laksa,
only it didnt quite turn out what we thought it would.
even though he had only taken a spoonful of it,
uncle patrick immediately pushed the bowl aside,
and he ordered something else.
then we asked, isnt it a waste of food?
he said, if he doesnt like it, then why put it in his body?
that's quite some food for thought.
maybe once upon a time
the kayak rental center said one person can only have this many kayaks
and to take on more, you need to let go some of the existing ones.
to work more on some, you need to work less on others.
i miss nawei,
i miss this bitching partner.
sure there's jialiang, but he's... HEH HEH ;D
happy N'ever after, idiot.
and lionel is always there,
only he's too nice ;x
and nawei is just right.
which is not really a compliment ;x
HAHAHAHAHA!
gawd, i miss band because i cant get to talk to nawei!
and sometimes you dont need to look far for what you need.
which is why i love xinyi and vanessa
little questions like "wanna go eat?",
i feel happier.
"wanna go eat?" was once upon a time
a sentence i always wanted to hear.
but that was a long time ago.
i miss kael, billy, ling, 'tine, dora..
**********
lastly,
liotin, 23.06.06 - 27.05.07
till now i dontknow if liotin was a girl or guy.
so we'll just call liotin "it".
it lived a good one month longer than honey (01.08.05 - 12.06.06)
you could say i dont feel remotely attatched to liotin.
ive watched too many "when animals attack" videos.
when we were in pangkor, we saw two ponies.
everytime they walked, we'd run.
so ya.
im afraid of liotin's amazingly long teeth ;x
please dont give me any more hamsters.
sad to say i view them more as a responsibility than a cute little thing running around
(those teeth arent cute damnit)
and that's what they always say right?
"you must take responsibility and good care of it!"
any parent will tell their kids when their kids whine for some cute little thing with cute little teeth.
and then eventually the parents are the ones running after the cute little monster anyway.
kudos to the spca advertisement for
"you cant shelve them as and when you like"
i'd stick with my soft toys,
all 30plus of them who lie on my bed, shelf, and on top of the shelves ;x
sorry liotin, honey.
but you've taught me things too anyway.
like never keep hamsters.
and miko,
miko is getting old,
but he's still the love.
i mean,
even if you were to leave a dog for five minutes,
he'd still welcome you with as much fevour as if you had left him ten years ago.
which is sad.
but happy ;x
i need to discipline my pets.
